Why the Loud Star rosin jar is also your carb cap
Loud Star live rosin ships in a child-resistant black glass jar with a patented spinner carb cap built into the glass base. Here is how it works and why we chose it.
The problem with most rosin jars
A gram of rosin usually comes in a jar you open, dip from, and close, and then the carb cap you actually need lives somewhere else: in a drawer, on the tray, lost. Carb caps also go missing more than any other piece of glass because they are small, round and roll.
What Loud Star ships
Every Loud Star rosin jar is a 5 ml child-resistant black glass Supercell jar. The carb cap is moulded into the glass base: when the jar is empty, flip it over and the swirl on the bottom seats on a standard banger. The swirl is a directional airflow channel that spins vapor across the banger, retains heat and gives a fuller, more even hit than an open banger. Dab, flip, cap, done.
Why black glass
Light and heat are what degrade live rosin. Black glass blocks light; the jar goes in the fridge between sessions. The wrap label around the jar is designed to tear at the lid line the first time it is opened, so you can see the jar has not been opened before you. The cap is a child-resistant push-and-turn cap with a PTFE liner that rosin does not stick to.
The only one we know of in New York
As far as we know, no other New York rosin comes in a jar with the carb cap built into the glass. We looked, and as licensed retailers ourselves we see most of the jars on the market cross the counter. If that changes we will update this page.
What is on the label
The jar wrap carries the brand, the flavor, "cold cure live rosin", solventless, single source and the net weight. Because the jar is small, the full New York compliance label (total THC and CBD, lot number, licensee, warnings, universal symbol and the QR code to the certificate of analysis) is on the sealed mylar bag the jar is sold in. Keep the bag; the lot number is on it.

Does the base fit a standard banger?
The jar base is designed as a spinner carb cap for a standard quartz banger. Check the fit on your rig before your first session.
Is the jar child resistant?
Yes. The jar is a certified child-resistant container and the retail mylar bag is child resistant as well.
Can I buy the jar separately?
Loud Star does not sell packaging. The jar comes with the rosin at licensed New York dispensaries.
